About Xanadu

Xanadu’s Owner

Hi! I’m Emma Sledge, the owner-operator of Xanadu. I’m a born-and-raised Floridian and have lived in Palm Coast since 2014. I am a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for creatures both great and small. I studied Animal Behavioral Sciences at Santa Fe’s Academy of AgriScience and received my undergraduate degree from Flagler College in 2012. I’ve provided dog walking and pet sitting services to Palm Coast and Flager County professionally since 2016. I began my career as a part-time Rover sitter but quickly fell in love with the business and knew I wanted to leave the corporate world behind and focus on animal care from then on out. I officially founded Xanadu Pet Care in 2019. My passion is keeping my animal clients (and their people) happy, safe, and healthy. I hope to spend many more years serving pets and people in Flagler County.

When I’m not busy caring for your pets, I spend my free time walking my own dogs, reading, kayaking/boating through Flagler County waterways with my husband, biking scenic Palm Coast trails, fishing, writing for the local publication Coastal Neighbors, and cuddling up with my puppies for a Netflix binge.

I have over a decade of experience working with animals and a passion for safety and stellar service. Don’t just take my word for it – check out my testimonials to see what my clients have to say and take a look at my business info (including my background check and industry certifications).

Christa Colletti

My name is Christa Colletti and I’ve lived in the Palm Coast area on and off since 1998, and have been residing here full-time since 2010.   Previously I lived for ten years in Tokyo, Japan where I worked as an English teacher and translator.  During that time, I fell in love with the culture and still consider it my second home.  I have strong love for animals, especially dogs, as well as learning about alternative healing modalities.  I’m currently a licensed and certified Vibrational Sound Therapy practitioner and provide one-on-one and group services in Volusia, Flagler, and St. John’s counties.  In the future, I hope to combine both passions and offer healing services to animals including sound therapy, IMF therapy, and acupressure/massage.  I love travel and adventure.  In March of 2019, I worked with elephants using sound therapy at an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  I saw up close and personal how the power of sound can be used to calm and soothe an anxious animal.  It was a very powerful experience.  My long-term goal is to one day open a sanctuary for senior dogs that provides top-quality conventional medical care as well as holistic care. I look forward to meeting you!

The Xanadu HQ Crew

The inspiration for Xanadu came from the three dogs that call Xanadu HQ home: Gabby (age 12), Millie (age 7), and Posey (age 3). I try to walk each dog for about a mile every night. The unbridled enthusiasm and joy that those walks bring them is the foundation upon which Xanadu was built. I want every animal to know this feeling, so I offer one-on-one pet care services with one goal in mind: unbridled joy!
