Dog Walking

Pricing and extras

One-on-one dog walking services – $15 for recurring bookings, $17 for walks on-demand. This includes up to 30-minutes (approximately one mile) of walking and lots of love. I am also happy to work on any commands or training that you may be doing with your dog for no extra fee. Simply let me know what you’d like me to work with them on and I can work this into our walk routine. I’ll always text you a picture and an update at the end of the service.

Additional charges for multiple dogs or longer walks are as follows: $5 additional fee for 2-3 dog homes, $10 additional fee for 3-5 dog homes. For homes with more than 5 dogs, a custom quote can be provided. You can upgrade to a 60-minute walk for an additional $10.

Please note that 30 minutes is the total visit time, even for multiple-dog households. If you would like each dog to get a full 30-minute walk separately, then additional time must be booked for the visit.

I provide dog walking services anywhere in Flagler County, including Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, and Bunnell. If you would like me to transport your dog elsewhere for a walk, additional fees may apply. For more info on this, you can check out our pet taxi, dog park, or adventure hike services.

policies and procedures

I prefer to walk dogs one at a time, but do make exceptions (especially in the case of very bonded or smaller dogs). My rule of thumb is not to walk dogs whose collective weight exceeds my own so, if your dogs weigh over 130 lbs all together (ok, fine, it’s probably closer to 140), I will likely request to walk them separately. However, I examine this on a case-by-case basis, as it largely depends on the temperament and training of your pups and the equipment used to walk them. I want to give your dog my undivided attention and will never “pack walk” your dogs with those from other homes unless you have specifically requested this service and all dogs have been thoroughly vetted for temperament beforehand. I try my best to avoid interaction with other dogs and people on walks as a safety precaution.

I prefer to use the equipment (harness, leash, collar, etc.) that your dog is most familiar and comfortable with. However, I can provide my own dog walking equipment by request. I do not have any specific “banned” equipment, but I strongly prefer not to use retractable leashes. If I do not feel it is safe to walk your dog using the equipment you’ve provided, I will utilize my own and inform you immediately.

I use a positive and fear-free style of training and interacting with your dogs and promise that I will NEVER hit your dog for any reason. However, I know that deterrents are sometimes necessary for everyone’s safety and I absolutely do not judge those who choose to use them. I am experienced with walking reactive and dog-aggressive dogs and will offer services to these pups, so long as I feel I can do so safely. Safety is my number one priority and I never forget that you are the one who knows what’s best for your pets. If you prefer to use deterrent equipment while walking your dogs, such as pinch collars, e-collars, or muzzles, I am happy to use them as well (though you must provide this equipment yourself).

I always pick up dog waste on walks and can provide my own poop bags. If you have a preference for where I should dispose of them, just let me know. Otherwise, I will deposit them in your outdoor or garage trashcan.

I carve out a couple of minutes after the walk for some quick housekeeping, which can include wiping your dog’s paws down if they have gotten muddy, rinsing and refilling their water bowl, and giving them treats as allowed. You are welcome to request other services with your walk (e.g. feeding, brushing, watering plants, administering medication, bringing in the mail), but please note that this will need to be done within the 30 minute booking time, so your dog’s actual walk will be shortened accordingly. Alternatively, you can add additional time to your visit by booking a 60-minute walk instead.

In cases of extreme weather, alternative forms of indoor exercise and enrichment may be provided in lieu of a full walk. I work in all weather (assuming that it is safe and possible for me to do so) and have no qualms about walking your dog in the rain, the heat, or the cold. However, when temperatures reach levels where prolonged exposure could be dangerous to your dog or to me, then I will only take your pup out long enough for them to use the bathroom. I may also provide two short walks with an inside cooldown time in between. I keep an eye on weather conditions throughout the day and may adjust your walk time slightly in order to avoid a bad storm. However, I will never change the booking time by more than 30 minutes without getting your express permission.
