It’s important to know who’s taking care of your pets while you’re away. That’s why we offer a no-obligation meeting before you commit to making an appointment. We’ll meet you and your pet(s) in your home free of charge.
These meetings typically last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and give me the opportunity to get to know your pet(s) and discuss their needs with you in detail. It also gives me a chance to get to know your home a bit and become familiar with your pets’ routines. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about my services at this time as well.
Some helpful things to show me during the meet and greet include: the location of pet food and other supplies, the appropriate way to leash up/harness your dog for walks, the location of litter boxes, your dog’s favorite walking route, your cat’s usual hiding places, the location of your outside trash receptacle and/or poop scooping tools, the location of your lockbox or spare keys, and any commands or training you’re currently working on with your pets.
Some typical questions I might ask include: How does your dog react when you pass by other dogs or people on walks? Have your pets ever escaped or attempted to get out of your home/yard? Where do your pets typically sleep at night? Is your dog reactive to anything (bikes, squirrels, other dogs, noises, etc)? How many times per day does your pet usually poop? What is your usual schedule for feeding/walking your pets?
