For high-energy dogs who need to let loose in the wild, a 60-minute nature hike is now available! We will handle pick up and drop off and take your pup on an hour-long adventure through a nearby nature trail or conservation area (owners may specify the location if they wish). Nature hikes are one-on-one and conducted by an experienced hiker.
Pricing and extras
The price for one 60-minute hike is $35. A second dog can be included in the fun for an additional $5. To ensure the safety of your pets, we limit our dog nature hikes to just one or two pups at a time.
Pick-up and drop-off are included in the price within Palm Coast city limits. We will service other areas, including Bunnell and Flagler Beach, for an additional $5 flat fee.
Policies and procedures
Your dog will be monitored at all times by an experienced hiker/pet care professional who’s received first-aid training and is familiar with the hiking route. Pets remain leashed at all times during the hike but will be allowed to explore and engage with their surroundings as much as safely possible. We bring plenty of water and first aid supplies to help keep your dog hydrated and healthy.
We take weather into consideration when going out on a hike and reserve the right to cancel a scheduled appointment due to inclement weather – the last thing we want is to get stuck in a bad storm with a scared dog! Hikes won’t be scheduled for days/times when the ambient temperature exceeds 100 degrees. For your pets’ safety and ours, we require them to be restrained at all times during travel. We can provide kennels, carriers, and seatbelt harnesses for this purpose for most animals, but it’s important that you confirm the size and number of your pets in advance. If you have a carrier or pet restraint you’d prefer for your pet, we are happy to use them and will return them to you promptly.
It is very important that you let us know about any health issues your pup has prior to their hike, from known health problems such as heart murmurs or seizures to issues like car sickness, heat sensitivity, or animal reactivity. Your dog’s specific needs will help us choose the best location and time for your hike and allow us to take all of the precautions necessary to keep them healthy.
Some of our favorite nature hike locations include the Pellicer Powerline Trail, Lehigh Greenway Rail Trail, and Graham Swamp, but we are happy to take your suggestions if there’s a trail you’d like to recommend.
